Fitting carbon filters

Turn the rangehood off at the switch and isolate it if the lights have been on. Remove the grease filters to reach the carbon filters behind them. Twist or unclip the old carbon filters and fit the new ones the same way, making sure they lock in. Refit the grease filters and run the fan to check for rattles. Note the date so you know when the next change is due.

Can carbon filters be washed?

No. Washing doesn't restore activated carbon, and water can damage the filter. When the carbon is spent, replace it. Your rangehood manual will give a recommended replacement interval for your model.
