Connecting the safety hose
Turn the tap off and unplug the appliance first. Undo the old hose at both ends and check the tap thread is clean and undamaged. Connect the new hose the same way the old one was fitted, tighten the couplings firmly by hand and keep the hose free of kinks and sharp bends behind the machine. Turn the tap on slowly and check both ends for drips during the first fill.

Is 1.5m long enough for my setup?
Measure from the tap to the inlet on the back of the machine, allowing for a gentle curve and room to pull the appliance out. If you need more than 1.5m, move the appliance closer to the tap rather than joining hoses, as every extra join is another place to leak.
