Too much steam and condensation in the laundry?
A vented dryer pushes hot, moisture-laden air out of the back while it runs. Without a duct, that air ends up in the laundry, fogging windows, dampening walls and encouraging mould. Lint carried in the air also settles on nearby surfaces. A venting kit captures the airflow at the dryer outlet and carries it to a window, wall vent or other opening. The kit also includes a rear deflector for the back of the dryer. Keeping the air moving freely helps the dryer work efficiently and avoids long drying times.

Setting up the vent kit
Switch the dryer off at the wall before working around the back of it. Attach the duct to the dryer's exhaust outlet and run it by the shortest, straightest path to the outside opening, avoiding sags and sharp bends that trap lint. Leave a little clearance behind the dryer so the duct isn't crushed when it is pushed back. Clean the lint filter every load and check the duct for lint build-up from time to time.

Will this kit fit a condenser or heat pump dryer?
No. Condenser and heat pump dryers don't blow damp air out of the back, so they don't need venting. This kit is for vented dryers. Check your dryer's manual if you're not sure which type you have.
