Part 900402702 is the genuine water filter from the Electrolux group parts range, and it is on record as suiting the RS643T refrigerator. Swapping in a fresh cartridge is one of the simplest maintenance jobs on a plumbed fridge. If your fridge isn't an RS643T, check the number on the filter you're replacing or ask us to look up your model before ordering.

Signs your fridge water filter is due for replacement

On a plumbed fridge, mains water passes through the filter before it reaches the dispenser or ice maker. The cartridge filters that water, and over time it clogs with what it has caught. Common signs it is spent are water that tastes or smells off, a dispenser that runs slower than it used to, and cloudy or small ice. A filter left in far too long can restrict flow enough to upset the ice maker. Many owners change it on a regular schedule rather than waiting for these signs.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux group part 900402702

Water filter cartridge for plumbed fridges

On record for the RS643T refrigerator

Swapping the filter cartridge

Check your fridge manual for where the filter sits and how it releases, as some twist out and others push to release. Turn off the water supply if the manual asks you to, and have a towel handy for the small amount of water that escapes. Fit the new cartridge firmly until it locks, then run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to flush out air and fine particles before drinking it. Reset any filter reminder light as the manual describes.

Questions about this part

Does this filter fit fridges other than the RS643T?

The RS643T is the only model on record for 900402702.
