Vacuum brush roll not spinning or poor pick-up on carpet
A motorised head uses its own brush roll to agitate carpet pile and lift embedded dirt, hair and pet fur that suction alone leaves behind. Hair wrapped around the roll, a worn drive belt, or a failed head motor or connection will leave the brush still or slow, and carpets look no cleaner after a pass. Cracked housings, worn wheels and damaged connectors are also common after years of being pushed into furniture. Connecting the new head
Switch the vacuum off and unplug it before changing heads. Check that your wand or hose end is 36mm and has the same connection style as your old head, then push the head on until it clicks or locks. Turn the vacuum on and check the brush roll spins on carpet. Clear hair from the roll regularly to keep it working well.
