Air is pulled through the bag material, which holds the dust and lets cleaner air pass on to the motor and exhaust filters. As the bag fills, its pores clog and airflow drops, so you get weaker suction, a vacuum that sounds strained and dust left behind on the carpet. A split or poorly fitted bag is worse, as dust gets past it and can coat the filters or reach the motor. Swap the bag when it is full, not when the vacuum stops picking up.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 900168828

Also coded UMP3S

Dust bag for Electrolux UltraSilencer vacuum cleaners

APAC (Asia Pacific) version

Version

APAC (Asia Pacific)

Changing the bag

Turn the vacuum off and pull the plug out before you open the lid.
