Fitting the shelf cover

Open the fridge door and lift the door shelf out if that makes it easier to work on. Ease the broken cover off its hinge pins, then line up the new cover and press it onto the pins until it pivots freely. Check it opens and closes smoothly, refit the shelf and close the door to make sure the lid does not foul anything inside the cabinet.
