Genuine Fisher & Paykel runner assembly 876889 is the right hand slide for the freezer compartment of F&P bottom freezer fridges in the 635mm and 790mm widths. The runners carry the weight of the freezer drawer and let it glide in and out. The left hand runner is a separate part, 876888, so check which side has failed, or order both if the pair is worn.
Freezer drawer sticking or dropping on one side?
A fully loaded freezer drawer is heavy, and the runners take that load every time it opens. Worn or broken runners make the drawer drag, jam halfway, sag at the front, or drop on one side so it no longer lines up with the cabinet. When the drawer can't close squarely, the seal doesn't meet properly and frost starts building up inside. Check for cracked plastic, missing rollers and bent metal slides. Ice build-up around the runners can cause similar sticking, so defrost first if you see heavy frost.

Replacing a freezer runner
Switch the fridge off at the wall and move frozen food into a cooler. Empty the drawer and remove it following the release method for your model. Photograph where the old runner's screws and clips sit, then fit the new runner in the same position. Refit the drawer and check it slides freely and closes square against the seal.

Should I replace both runners?
If both sides are worn, yes. A new runner on one side and a tired one on the other can leave the drawer running crooked. Order the right hand 876889 and left hand 876888 together if both show wear, cracks or missing parts.
