Replacing a cracked Fisher & Paykel crisper bin
The crisper bin keeps fruit and vegetables in an enclosed space so they stay fresh for longer. Cracks usually start at the front handle or corners, where the bin takes the most strain when it's pulled out full. A split bin leaks juices, harbours bacteria in the cracks and can snag on the runners or the shelf above. If pieces have broken off, the bin may no longer slide properly or close fully.

Fitting the crisper bin
Empty the old bin and slide it all the way out, lifting the front if it catches on a stop. Wash the new bin in warm soapy water and dry it before use. Slide it into place and check it runs smoothly and that any cover or shelf above sits properly.
