Product details

If the freezer door on your Electrolux group fridge no longer seals, 8588119885024 is the genuine freezer gasket listed for the TF60W. The gasket is the magnetic seal around the inside edge of the door, and it's what keeps cold air in and warm, humid air out. We don't have its dimensions or a model list on file, so check the number or measure your old gasket before you order.

Signs your freezer door seal has failed

A tired freezer gasket shows itself in a few ways. Frost builds up quickly around the door opening or on food near the front, the freezer runs longer and louder, ice cream goes soft, and you may see condensation on the outside of the door. Look for splits in the corners, flattened sections and gaps where the magnet no longer pulls the seal onto the cabinet. A quick test is to close the door on a sheet of paper. If it slides out easily at any point, the seal isn't gripping there.

Fitting a freezer gasket

Unpack the gasket a day early and lay it flat somewhere warm to let the folds relax, or warm it gently with a hair dryer. Switch the fridge off at the wall before you start. Most gaskets push into a channel or sit under the door liner, held by screws. Work around the door one side at a time, keeping the corners square, then close the door and check for an even seal all the way round.

Questions about this part

Is TF60W my model number?

It's the reference this gasket is listed under and may form part of your model name, but check the full model and product number on the label inside the fridge. Send those through the parts enquiry form and we'll confirm the gasket fits.
