Using and caring for the tray

Wash the new tray in warm soapy water before first use. Fill it to just below the rim so the cubes release cleanly, and sit it level in the freezer. To free the cubes, let the tray stand at room temperature for a minute or run a little cool water over the base rather than forcing it, which is what cracks most trays.
