Part 8583054515009 has an enamel finish and is also numbered 305451500. It belongs to the Electrolux group gas cooktop range, but we don't have a list of the cooktops it fits, so compare it with your existing wok plate or check the number in your cooktop's parts list before buying.

Why a wok plate matters on a gas cooktop

A round-bottomed wok won't sit safely on standard pan supports. The wok plate gives it a stable seat over the burner and holds the base at a sensible distance from the flame so heat goes into the pan. When the enamel chips, rust starts and the plate becomes rough or pitted. A warped or cracked plate lets the wok tilt, which is a real hazard when you're tossing food in hot oil. Plenty of people also order one simply because the original went missing.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux group part 8583054515009

Also numbered 305451500

Wok plate with enamel finish

For Electrolux group gas cooktops

Fit by part number, models not listed

Using the new wok plate

Place the plate only on a cold, switched-off cooktop. Sit it over the burner it was designed for, usually the wok or largest burner, so it locates on the trivet properly. Check the wok sits steady before lighting up. Clean the enamel with warm soapy water rather than abrasive pads. If the burner flame lifts, roars or burns yellow, get a licensed gas fitter to check it.

Questions about this part

Can I use the wok plate on any burner?

It's meant for the burner it was supplied with, normally the wok or largest burner. Over a small burner the wok can sit too far from the flame to heat well. Check your cooktop's instructions for the recommended position.
