Fitting the burner and cap

Turn the burner off and let the cooktop cool. Lift the old cap and crown off, and clean around the injector and ignition electrode with a dry brush. Seat the new crown so it locates properly and sit the cap flat on top, then light the burner and check for an even blue ring of flame. Any work on the injector, gas valve or pipework is for a licensed gas fitter.
