Product details

Part 8581328195020 is a genuine ST-545 analogue pressure sensor with a 0 to 380mm range, used to measure the water level in Electrolux, AEG, Simpson and Westinghouse washing machines. It is also listed as 132819501. Close to 70 models are on file, including the EWF12822 and EWF14012, the EWF9024CDWA, the EWW1042ADWA, the LF8C9412A and LF9A1612A, the SWF12743 and the WWF1044M7WA.

Electrolux front loader not filling, overfilling or showing a water level error

The sensor connects to the tub through a thin air hose. Rising water pushes air pressure up the hose, and the sensor converts that pressure into a signal across its 0 to 380mm range so the control board knows how much water is in the drum. A faulty sensor can cause overfilling, too little water, a machine that keeps filling and draining, a cycle that stops partway, or a water level fault code. A split, blocked or kinked air hose causes the same symptoms, so check it first.

Changing the pressure sensor

Unplug the machine and turn off the taps. On most front loaders the sensor is mounted under the top cover near the back. Photograph the connector, ease the air hose off, and unclip or unscrew the sensor. Fit the new one, push the hose fully on, and run a short program to confirm the machine fills to a normal level and drains correctly.

Questions about this part

What does the 0 to 380mm range mean?

It is the span of water pressure the sensor can read, measured as a column of water in millimetres. The control board relies on that range, so a sensor of a different type or range may read the level wrongly. Stick with the ST-545 type for these machines.
