Simpson, Westinghouse and Electrolux top loaders use this genuine filter bag and stem frame, part 8581194084936, to catch lint during the wash. It is listed for more than 320 models, including Simpson 22C and 22D series machines and the SWT8012, the Westinghouse WWT6041 and the Electrolux EWT806SB. The cup that goes with it is not included. If yours is missing or broken, order part 0007204001 as well.
Fluff left on clothes from a Simpson top loader
As the machine washes, water circulates through the fine mesh bag, and the frame holds it in position on the agitator stem. Lint, hair and threads stay trapped in the bag instead of ending up back on your washing. With age the mesh tears, the frame cracks, or the bag goes missing while being emptied, and fluff starts showing up on dark clothes and towels again. Empty the bag every few loads, and replace the assembly when the mesh splits or the frame won't sit securely.

Fitting the filter and frame
Switch the washer off at the wall. Remove the old filter assembly from the centre of the agitator and check the stem for lint build up or damage. Push the new frame down until it seats properly, then refit your cup if it is still in good condition. Run a short rinse cycle to check the filter stays in place while the agitator works.
