Top loaders that won't spin with the lid shut often have a faulty lid switch. 8581190009069 is the genuine Electrolux lid reed switch carrying the references TL700 and EWX14, which separate it from similar lid switches in the Electrolux group top loader range. Top loader won't spin? Test the lid switch
A reed switch has two fine contacts sealed in a glass tube that close when a magnet comes near. On a top loader, the magnet sits in the lid and the switch sits under the top panel, so the control knows when the lid is shut. If the switch fails, the machine may fill and agitate but refuse to spin, pause with a lid error, or never start. A cracked glass tube, a broken lead or a displaced magnet all give the same symptoms, so check the magnet is still in place before replacing the switch.

Replacing the lid reed switch
Unplug the washer and turn off both taps. The switch sits under the top panel, lined up with a magnet in the lid, with its lead running back to the control. Note the lead routing, unplug the old switch and clip the new one into the same position so it lines up with the magnet. Close the lid and run a spin to test.
