This genuine vented upper door trim suits Chef and Westinghouse ovens with a two glass door. Part 85805450029244 is also known as 0545002924, 1874568 and 1886345. More than 260 models and product numbers are on file. Among them are the Chef CFE536WA and CFE547WA, the gas CFG504SANG and CFG517SANG, and on the Westinghouse side the WFE517SA, the WLE522WA and WLE535WA, and the WLG503WANG.
Broken or missing top trim on a Chef or Westinghouse oven door
The upper trim runs across the top edge of the oven door, holding the glass panels in place and closing off the gap between them. Being vented, it has openings that let warm air escape from between the glass so the door face doesn't overheat. Trims get brittle from years of heat and can crack, warp or snap at the clips, often when the door is pulled apart for cleaning. A damaged trim leaves the glass loose or rattling, lets grease and crumbs fall between the panes, and can stop the door from closing cleanly.

Fitting the upper door trim
Make sure the oven is off and cold. Take the door off if your manual allows it and lay it face down on a soft towel. Undo the screws along the top edge, slide out the old trim, and note how the glass sits in it. Fit the new trim with the vents facing the right way and the glass fully seated, then refit the screws without overtightening them into the plastic.
