The thermostat reads the oven temperature through a sensing bulb in the cavity and switches the elements on and off to hold the setting on the dial. Fitting the thermostat and link cable
These ovens are typically hard-wired, so the thermostat should be fitted by a licensed electrician with the circuit isolated at the switchboard. Photograph the old wiring first. The cable supplied must be connected between terminals A and 2, otherwise the element won't work. Feed the sensing bulb into the cavity along the old route, clip it in place without kinking the capillary, then test the temperature with an oven thermometer.
