Fan forced oven cooking unevenly? The fan motor could be the cause
In fan forced cooking the motor spins a fan at the back of the oven cavity, pushing heated air around the food so it cooks evenly on every shelf. When the motor fails, the oven may still get hot but bakes unevenly, takes much longer than usual or burns food on one side. Other signs are a grinding, rattling or squealing noise from the back wall, a fan that slows or stops once the oven warms up, or a fan that will not spin at all. A motor that hums without turning usually has worn or seized bearings.

Changing the oven fan motor
Isolate the oven at the switchboard or unplug it, and let it cool. The fan blade comes off from inside the cavity, and the motor then unbolts from the back panel. Check whether the blade nut is a left or right hand thread before forcing it. Photograph the wiring and note any seals or spacers on the way out. Spin the new fan by hand to check it runs freely, then test on a fan function. Hard-wired ovens should be handled by a licensed electrician.
