Oven grill not working or slow to heat?

This element sits in the roof of the oven cavity. On grill settings it glows red to brown the top of food, and on functions that use boost it adds extra heat so the oven comes up to temperature faster. When it fails, the grill stays cold, the oven takes much longer to preheat, or food cooks unevenly with pale tops. Fitting the grill element
