Westinghouse and Simpson fan ovens that have stopped heating on fan bake often need this genuine 1800W element, part 85801220042682. The ring measures 195mm across, and it's also listed as 0122004268. Models on file include the Westinghouse POF662 and POF664, the POF666 and POF668, POF684 and POF688 ovens and the POF689, POF696 and POF698 ranges, plus older 63A, 63B, 68A and 75B series ovens.
When fan bake stops heating
This circular element wraps around the fan behind the rear panel of the oven. On fan forced settings, the fan draws air through the hot coil and spreads it evenly through the cavity. When the element burns out, the fan keeps spinning and the light stays on, but the oven struggles to climb past a lukewarm temperature. You might also notice the safety switch tripping as soon as fan bake is selected, or a visible bubble or break in the sheath. A continuity reading between the terminals with a multimeter confirms a failed element.

Replacing a fan oven element
Turn the oven off at the circuit breaker, not just the controls. Take out the shelves and the rear fan cover, then remove the screws holding the element to the back wall. The wiring connects from behind, so the oven may need to come out of its cavity. Photograph the terminals first. Hard-wired ovens must be reconnected by a licensed electrician.
