Freezer drawer hard to open or falling off its runners
These slides carry the freezer drawer and the weight of the frozen food inside it. Ice, spills and heavy loads wear them over time. Once the slides bend, crack or wear, the drawer can drag, tilt to one side, jam halfway or come off the rails completely. A drawer that doesn't close fully lets warm air into the freezer, which shows up as frost on food and around the seal. Replacing both slides together keeps the drawer running square.

Fitting the drawer slides
Unplug the fridge, empty the freezer drawer and lift it off. Note how the old slides are fixed and which way each one faces, then remove them and fit the new left and right slides in the same positions. Tighten the fixings evenly, refit the drawer and slide it in and out to check it runs straight and closes against the seal.
