When to change your RF523 water filter
Water heading to the dispenser, and to the ice maker where one is fitted, passes through this filter first, which traps sediment and helps with tastes and odours from the supply. As the filter loads up, flow from the dispenser slows, ice output may drop, and the water can start to taste flat or earthy. A filter left in far too long can also let particles through. Follow the replacement interval in your user manual or the fridge's filter indicator, and change it sooner if flow drops.
