It replaces a shelf that's bent, rusted, worn through its coating or lost in a move. Smeg ovens come in different widths and cavity depths, so match the number to your old shelf or measure it before ordering.

Why a correctly sized Smeg oven shelf matters

An oven shelf has to sit level on the side runners or ladder supports and slide in and out without catching. A shelf from a different model may sit loose, tip forward when you pull it out with a heavy dish on it, or foul the door. Old shelves also warp from heat, lose their finish and start to rust, which is unpleasant near food and hard to clean. A replacement made to the original spec slots into the supports properly and gives back the full cooking area.

Part details

OEM part number 844092588

Oven shelf rack made to original equipment specification

Suits Smeg ovens that use shelf 844092588

Checking the fit

Let the oven cool fully before taking out the old shelf. Slide the new rack into the supports with any stops facing the back, then pull it halfway out to check it holds level.

Questions about this part

Is this shelf made by Smeg?

No, it's an OEM shelf rack.
