Freezers are hit hardest by a leaking seal. Every gap lets in warm, moist air, which freezes onto the walls, the food and the seal itself. Fitting a push-in seal

Turn the fridge off at the wall and move frozen food into a cooler. Pull the old seal out of its channel, starting at a corner. Soak the new seal in warm water for a few minutes to soften any folds, then dry it. Press the base into the channel with your thumbs, corners first, and check the freezer closes snugly all round.
