Fisher & Paykel's genuine 837011 is the left hand pinion mounting bracket for the freezer compartment. It holds the pinion gear on the left side so the freezer drawer tracks evenly on its racks. If you need the right hand side, that's 837010. We don't have a model list on file for this bracket, so check your parts list with your fridge's model and serial number first.
Signs of a broken freezer pinion bracket
The rack and pinion setup on a freezer drawer stops it skewing when you pull from one side. Each pinion is held by a mounting bracket, and on the left that's 837011. Brackets can crack when a drawer is overloaded, slammed or forced while frozen food is jammed. Watch for a drawer that drags on one side, jumps or clicks as it moves, or doesn't close flush, leaving the seal open and frost building up.

Replacing the left bracket
Isolate the power at the wall socket before starting. Empty the freezer drawer and lift it off its slides. Note how the pinion sits in the old bracket and whether any clips or screws hold it. Fit the new bracket, seat the pinion so its teeth engage the rack evenly, then refit the drawer and check it runs straight.
