Product details
Supplied as an assembly, 836886 is a genuine Fisher & Paykel bin and scoop set for F&P fridges. The scoop marks it as an ice storage bin, the container that catches cubes from the ice maker in the freezer. There's no model list on file for this number, so confirm 836886 on your fridge's parts list, or on any label on the old bin, before ordering.
Ice bin cracked or scoop missing?
The ice bin holds the cubes your ice maker produces until you need them. It sits under the ice maker and, on many fridges, lifts out so you can empty or wash it. Bins crack from being dropped or from frozen clumps being forced out, and scoops tend to go missing. A split bin can spill ice into the freezer, and a warped one may not sit square under the ice maker, so cubes miss the bin.

Fitting the bin and scoop
Empty any ice from the old bin and lift it out, noting how it locates under the ice maker. Wipe the area dry. Slide the new bin into the same spot and make sure it seats fully, or the ice maker may not fill it properly. Keep the scoop somewhere handy so it doesn't get buried in the ice.
Questions about this part
Is the scoop included?
Yes. Fisher & Paykel describes 836886 as a bin and scoop assembly, so both pieces come under this part number. If you only need the bin or only the scoop, send us your model number and we'll check whether they're sold separately.
