836751P Genuine Glass Shelf Assembly with Silver Trim for Fisher & Paykel 790 Size Fridges, Fridge Shelf Replacement

This genuine Fisher & Paykel glass shelf assembly, 836751P, suits the wider 790 cabinet size and is finished with a silver trim. It comes ready to fit as a complete shelf. Trim colours and shelf designs vary between Fisher & Paykel models, so compare it with the shelves already in your fridge and confirm the model number and product code before ordering 836751P.

When a 790 fridge shelf needs replacing

A shelf assembly combines the glass panel and the trim or frame that holds it on the cabinet supports. In a wide 790 cabinet, shelves carry a lot of weight across their span, so cracks often start at an edge or corner after a knock. Broken trims are another common problem, leaving the glass loose or the shelf sitting crooked. Cracked glass should be replaced straight away, not patched. A matching silver trim shelf keeps the inside of the fridge looking consistent.

Fitting tips

Clear the old shelf and take it out with both hands, wearing gloves if the glass is damaged. Clean the supports and the liner around them. Fit the new shelf the same way the old one came out, checking it locates on both sides and sits level. Avoid putting hot dishes straight onto the cold glass, and spread heavy items across the shelf rather than stacking them at one edge.
