Fridge ice maker not making ice or leaking water

The tray is where the ice maker fills with water, freezes it into cubes and then releases them into the ice bin. A sensor held against the tray reads its temperature so the ice maker can tell when the cubes are ready to harvest. A cracked or warped tray lets water drip into the bin, where it freezes the cubes into one solid lump. Other signs are hollow or undersized cubes, ice that won't release, or no ice at all even though water is reaching the tray. Swapping the ice maker tray

Turn the fridge off at the wall and shut off the water supply to it. Empty the ice bin and let the ice maker thaw if it's frozen up. Photograph how the sensor sits on the old tray before removing anything. Fit the new tray, then set the sensor in the same spot using the foam and clip supplied so it reads accurately. Restore power and water and throw out the first few batches of ice.
