This genuine Fisher & Paykel door gasket, 818939P, is a push-in seal sized 525 x 1134mm. Push-in seals press into a channel around the inside of the door rather than being screwed on. Fridge door not sealing? Signs of a failed gasket
A door seal's job is to close the gap between door and cabinet, keeping cold air in and warm, moist air out. A magnetic strip inside the seal pulls it against the cabinet face. Old seals harden, tear at the corners or lose their shape, and the fridge then runs longer, frosts up, sweats around the door edge or struggles to hold temperature. One quick test is to shut the door on a strip of paper at different points. If it slides out with no grip anywhere, the seal isn't doing its job there.

Fitting a push-in seal
Unplug the fridge, or turn it off at the power point. Unpack the new seal a day early and let it relax at room temperature, or warm the folds gently with a hair dryer. Pull the old seal out of its channel, starting at a corner. Press the new one in firmly all the way round, then check it meets the cabinet evenly with the door closed.
