The oven light lets you check food through the door glass without opening it and losing heat. Fitting the oven light
Isolate the oven at the switchboard and let it cool completely. Remove the shelves and side racks so you have room to work, and lay a tea towel on the oven floor in case the glass slips. If the job means disconnecting wiring behind a hard-wired oven, have a licensed electrician do it. Restore power once everything is back together and check the light comes on.
