Soft spikes are flexible tines that clip onto the rack and hold glasses and delicate items without chipping them. This listing is the blue version. Electrolux makes soft spikes in other colours and sizes too, so match the colour and the shape of your existing insert before ordering.

Why dishwasher soft spikes are worth replacing

Standard rack tines are rigid, so a glass that shifts during the wash can knock against them and chip or crack. Soft spikes give a cushioned grip that holds stems and bowls steady while the water jets hit them. Over time they can split, go brittle from heat and detergent, or snap off the rack. When that happens, glasses lean or fall over, cups fill with dirty water, and fragile items are more likely to break. A fresh insert brings back a secure, gentle hold for your best glassware.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux group part 8074683072

Blue soft spikes for dishwasher baskets

Flexible tines for glasses and delicate items

Match colour and shape to your existing insert

Colour

Blue

Clipping in the soft spikes

Pull the basket out and remove the old insert by easing its clips off the rack wires.
