8074683064 Genuine Soft Spikes Red 212.4 x 85mm for Electrolux Group Dishwashers, Basket Glass Holder Soft Spike Insert

This genuine Electrolux part, 8074683064, is a set of red soft spikes measuring 212.4 x 85mm, listed as 7x4. Soft spikes are the flexible tines fitted to some Electrolux group dishwasher baskets to hold glasses and delicate items steady without scratching them. No model list is on file, so check the colour, size and part number against your old insert before ordering.

Glasses wobbling or chipping in the dishwasher?

Soft spikes give glasses and stemware a gentle grip so they don't tip over, clink together or move under the spray. Over time they can tear, harden, fade or snap off the basket, especially if large items are forced between them. Missing or damaged spikes leave glasses free to topple and fill with dirty water, which leads to poor results, chipping and breakage. Replacing the insert brings back the support the basket was designed with.

Fitting the soft spikes

Pull the basket out fully so you can see how the old insert is held. Inserts like this usually clip onto the basket wires, so ease the clips free without bending the frame. Line the new spikes up the same way round and press each clip home until it locks. Load a few glasses to check they sit firmly before running a wash.

Questions about this part

Does the colour matter?

It does for matching. This listing is the red version, 8074683064. If your basket uses a different colour, check the number on the old part or the parts list for your model so the new spikes match the rest of the basket.
