Smeg or Blanco fan oven cold in fan mode?
Fan forced cooking depends on this element, which sits around the rear fan and heats the air the fan pushes into the oven. When it fails, top and bottom heat may still work but the fan modes stay cold, or the oven heats slowly and unevenly. Fitting a 2000W fan element
Turn the power off at the switchboard before you start, then remove the racks and the rear fan cover. Undo the element's mounting screws and ease it forward. The terminals are usually reached from the back of the oven, so take a photo of the connections first. Check the bracket and hole line up with your oven's mounting points, and have a licensed electrician reconnect hard-wired ovens.
