Product details
Blanco part 74X5160 is a genuine fan motor listed for oven use. An oven can have more than one fan, a convection fan inside the cavity and a cooling fan behind the controls, so it pays to check which one has failed. Match 74X5160 to the label on the old motor, or send your oven's model number and we can help confirm the fit.
Oven fan noisy or not spinning?
A fan motor that is wearing out usually gives some warning. You might hear grinding, squealing or rattling, notice the fan turning slowly, or find it only starts when nudged. When the convection fan stops, a fan forced oven heats unevenly and food cooks on one side. A dead cooling fan lets heat build up behind the panel, which can trip the oven's safety cut-out or damage the controls. If the motor shaft feels rough or has sideways play, the bearings are on their way out.

Changing the fan motor
Ovens are normally hard-wired, so the power should be isolated and the job done by a licensed electrician. Remove the panel covering the fan, photograph the wiring and note how the motor mounts. Fit the new motor, transfer the fan blade if one isn't supplied, reconnect the wires and run the oven to check the fan turns quietly.
Questions about this part
How do I tell which fan motor my oven needs?
Check the label or stamped number on the old motor and compare it with 74X5160. Note where the motor sits too, at the back of the cavity or up behind the controls. If you're unsure, send your oven model number through the parts enquiry form.
