742283 Genuine Oven Shelf for Bosch, Siemens, Neff Ovens, BSH 00742283 Replacement Oven Wire Rack Grid

A missing or bent oven shelf makes cooking awkward, and BSH part 742283 is the genuine replacement for Bosch, Siemens and Neff ovens. You might also see it written as 00742283. It's the wire grid that sits on the oven's shelf runners or levels to hold dishes and trays. Shelves are sized to the cavity, so match the part number or let us check your oven's E-Nr before ordering.

Why a genuine BSH oven shelf fits better

Oven shelves have to slide easily, stay level under load and stop before they pull right out. BSH designs each shelf around the oven's cavity size and runner style, with a profile that catches on the runners as a safety stop. A generic rack can be too narrow, sit crooked, or slide off when you pull it forward with a heavy dish on it. Shelves get replaced after being warped by being left in during a pyrolytic clean, damaged by harsh cleaners, or simply lost when moving house.

Fitting the new shelf

Wait until the oven is cold. Hold the shelf with any raised edge at the back, then slide it in along the runners or level guides until it stops. Pull it forward a little to make sure the stop catches before you load it. Take shelves out before running a pyrolytic clean unless your manual says they can stay in.

Questions about this part

Where do I find my oven's E-Nr?

Open the oven door and look around the edge of the oven opening or on the side of the door frame for a rating label. It shows the E-Nr, which is the model code, and an FD number. Send both through the parts enquiry form to confirm shelf 742283 suits your oven.
