Fitting the knob
Make sure the control is in the off position and the cooker is cool. Pull the old knob straight off the spindle without twisting, as forcing a stuck knob can damage the switch or valve behind it. Line up the flat side of the spindle with the shape inside the new knob and push it firmly home. Turn it through its range to check the markings line up.
