LG air conditioner display blank or not responding?
On many split systems the display board also carries the infrared receiver that picks up the remote control signal, so a fault can show up in more than one way. Typical signs are a blank or flickering display, missing indicator lights, a unit that won't respond to the remote while the main board still has power, or no beep when you press a button. Check the remote batteries and the wiring plug between the display and main board first, as they cause similar symptoms.

Fitting the display board
Turn the air conditioner off and isolate it at the switchboard or isolator before removing the front cover. Photograph how the display board's cable is routed and plugged in. Handle the new board by its edges, plug it in the same way and clip it into place. Restore power and test the display and remote. Hard-wired units should be worked on by a licensed electrician or air conditioning technician.
