686438-genuine-bosch-dishwasher-upper-basket
686438 Genuine Upper Basket for Bosch, Siemens, Neff Dishwashers, BSH 00686438 Top Rack

686438, also written 00686438, is a genuine BSH upper basket for Bosch, Siemens and Neff dishwashers. The upper basket is the top rack that carries cups, glasses and small bowls. Basket sizes, fittings and height adjusters vary between BSH models, and we don't have a model list for 686438 yet, so check the number against your parts list or send us your E-Nr.

When the top rack needs replacing

The upper basket runs on rails along the tub walls and has to stay straight to line up with the water feed and upper spray arm. Over time the coating on the wires can crack, letting rust form and leave orange marks on dishes, and the fittings can break. A bent or warped basket may catch when you pull it out, drop off its rails, or block the upper spray arm so glasses come out dirty. Rust spots on the tines are a sign the coating has failed.

Part details

Genuine BSH upper basket, part 686438

Also written 00686438

Top rack for Bosch, Siemens and Neff dishwashers

Fit confirmed by part number, as no models are listed yet

Changing the upper basket

Empty the dishwasher and pull the upper basket all the way out.
