Part 682843, also written 00682843, is the genuine Bosch door boot gasket for Bosch front load washing machines, in the version without a vent. Torn or mouldy door seal on a Bosch front loader
The boot gasket links the front of the cabinet to the outer tub and seals around the door glass, keeping water in while the drum turns. Its deep folds trap lint and detergent, and with constant moisture the seal can grow mould, start to smell and eventually split. Leaks from a damaged boot usually appear at the bottom front of the machine or drip down the door during the wash. Sharp objects left in pockets can also cut it. Look carefully inside the folds, especially at the bottom, where tears tend to start.

Fitting a Bosch door boot
Pull the plug out and close both taps. Remove the outer clamp ring from the front panel and fold back the seal, then release the inner clamp holding it to the tub. Line up any marks on the new boot with those on the tub, seat the lip evenly and refit both clamps. A little soapy water on the lip helps it slide on. Test with a rinse cycle.
