Broken plate tines in your Bosch dishwasher lower rack
The lower rack in these Bosch dishwashers uses sections of tines to stand plates upright, and each section can be folded flat to open up space. With constant loading and unloading, the pivots and clips wear and the tines can snap or stop locking in position. You'll notice plates leaning or toppling, a section that won't stay up or down, or one that has come loose from the basket. A broken insert can also let plates drop into the path of the lower spray arm, stopping it from turning and leaving dishes dirty.

Fitting the folding tine insert
Pull the lower basket out and empty it. Look at how the old insert attaches to the basket wires, usually with clips at the pivot points, and gently release it. Line the new insert up in the same position, press the clips on until they snap over the wire and check the tines fold down and back up freely. Push the basket home and make sure the lower spray arm turns without hitting anything.
