Product details

6631JA3003D is a genuine LG connector assembly, the nut fitting that joins the water tube to the inlet valve on many LG fridges with a water supply. It is listed for 36 models, including the GR-L247STSL and GR-P247STSL, the GR-L207DTUA, GR-L257STS and GR-L267NIS, and the GF-L570MBL. Replacement LG inlet valves such as 5221JA2006A now come with a connector nut, so check what came with your new valve before ordering one separately.

Water leaking from the valve connection behind your LG fridge

The connector nut clamps the water tube onto the inlet valve or a join in the water line and keeps it watertight under mains pressure. If the nut cracks, has been overtightened or the tube has been refitted a few times, the joint can weep. Signs include water pooling behind or under the fridge, damp flooring, a dripping sound when the ice maker or dispenser is filling, or poor flow at the dispenser. Find the exact drip point first, as a split tube or the valve body can leak in the same area.

Part details

  • Genuine LG part 6631JA3003D
  • Tube connector nut assembly for the fridge water line
  • Listed for 36 LG fridge models
  • Covers GR-L and GR-P models plus GW and GF series fridges

Fitting the connector

Turn off the water at the isolation tap and unplug the fridge before pulling it out. If the tube end is damaged, trim it square, then push it fully into the connector and tighten the nut by hand plus a little more with a spanner, taking care not to crack it. Turn the water back on slowly and watch the joint for a few minutes before pushing the fridge back.

Questions about this part

Do I need this if I'm buying a new LG water valve?

Possibly not. LG inlet valves such as 5221JA2006A now come with a connector nut. Check the contents of your new valve first, and order this part when you only need to replace a cracked or leaking nut.
