LG direct drive washers use a rotor position sensor to tell the control board exactly where the motor's rotor is, and part 6501KW2002B is the genuine LG sensor for that job. It is linked to 6501KW2002A. Front loaders on file include the WD-1219BD, WD-1255RD, WD12570FD and F1069FD, while on the top load side the list covers the WT-H750, WT-H9506, WT-R10806 and WTG9532WH, among others.
LG washer with an LE error, twitching drum or no spin?
On a direct drive washer the motor is fixed to the back or base of the tub, and the board drives it by switching the windings in sequence. To do that, it needs a constant signal from the rotor position sensor, often called the hall sensor. If that signal drops out, the motor can't run smoothly. Common signs are an LE error, a drum that jerks back and forth instead of turning, a machine that won't spin, loud knocking from the motor, or a washer that stops mid-cycle. Damaged wiring between the sensor and the board can cause the same fault.

Fitting the sensor
Pull the plug out and shut both taps first. The sensor mounts on the stator, under the rotor, which is at the back on front loaders and underneath on top loaders. The rotor bolt has to come out and the rotor pulled off before the sensor can be unclipped. Note how the wiring plug is routed, seat the new sensor squarely and tighten the rotor bolt back up firmly.

No. LE points to a motor fault, which can come from the sensor, the motor wiring, the stator or the control board. Check the sensor plug and wiring first, then test or swap the sensor, as it is a common cause.
