Spark plug 615570 is the genuine ignition electrode for the wok burner on a range of Bosch, Siemens and Neff gas cooktops. BSH also lists it as 00615570. It mounts next to the wok burner and produces the spark that lights the gas each time you turn the knob. BSH makes more than one wok spark plug, so check the number on your parts list or send us the E-Nr and FD from the cooktop before ordering.
Signs the wok burner spark plug has failed
Every press of the knob sends a burst of high voltage from the spark module to the plug, and the spark across the gap lights the wok burner. Over time the porcelain around the electrode can crack from heat or a knock, and boiled over food can bridge the gap. Then you'll see a weak orange spark, a spark somewhere under the cooktop, or no spark at all, and the wok burner won't light even though the others do. Constant clicking after the burner has lit can also point to a damaged plug or lead.

Who should fit a gas cooktop spark plug
Gas appliance work in Australia should be carried out by a licensed gas fitter. Before anything is touched, the cooktop must be isolated from power at the wall or switchboard and from gas at the isolation valve. The burner parts come off first, then the plug is released from under the cooktop. Once fitted, the installer should check the spark gap, test ignition on every burner and leak test the gas connections.
