Made for one awkward job, 613634 is a genuine BSH auxiliary tool for removing the round glass lamp cover inside Bosch, Siemens and Neff ovens. Oven light covers can bind tight in their thread after years of heat, and gripping hot or greasy glass by hand risks breaking it. This is the small size tool, listed at 68mm, and BSH also packs it with a lamp cover under part 647309.
Getting a stuck oven light cover off
To change the oven globe you first have to unscrew the glass cover over it, and on many BSH ovens that cover sits in a recess in the cavity wall with very little to grip. Baked-on grease and heat make the cover seize, and people often end up cracking the glass or twisting the holder loose. The tool fits over the cover and gives an even grip all the way round, so you can turn it without putting stress on one spot. BSH lamp covers come in more than one size, so check yours before ordering.

Using the tool
Switch the oven off at the isolator and wait until it's completely cold. Place the tool squarely over the glass cover, press in lightly and turn anticlockwise to unscrew it. Replace the globe, then refit the cover by turning it clockwise until it's snug, without over-tightening. Keep the tool with the oven manual for next time.
