On the Omega side it suits the OF914X and OF914FX as well as the OF916X and OF916FX, and the Blanco model is the BFD914WX. If your oven grills and fan cooks but won't brown the bottom of a pie or cake, this element is the part to test.

Omega oven not heating from the bottom?

The bottom element provides the base heat used in conventional baking and in other functions that combine top and lower heat. It often sits hidden under the oven floor, so you can't see it glow. A failed element gives soggy pastry, undercooked bases and long preheat times on those functions, even though other settings seem normal. If the element has shorted to its sheath, the safety switch may trip whenever that function is selected. A multimeter check with the power off will confirm it.

Part details

Genuine part 606108

Lower (bottom) oven element rated 1600W

Suits Omega OF914 and OF916 ovens and the Blanco BFD914WX

Power

1600W

Swapping the lower element

Turn the oven off at the circuit breaker and let it cool completely. Depending on the model, the element is reached through the oven floor or from a rear panel, which means sliding the oven out of its cavity. Note the wire positions before removing them, and fit the new element so it seats evenly. Hard-wired ovens should be reconnected by a licensed electrician.

Questions about this part

Will this fit my OF914X?

Yes, the OF914X is on the fit list for 606108. Check the model on your oven's rating label, since close variants like the OF914FX are also listed, so you can be sure yours is one of them.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0768/3489/7998/files/606108-genuine-omega-lower-oven-element-1600w.jpg?v=1792026156
