Product details
Part 605740, also known as 00605740, is the genuine Bosch liquid detergent insert for the dispenser drawer. Fitted in the main wash compartment, it keeps liquid detergent in the drawer until water flushes it in for the main wash. It is listed for the Bosch WAS32742AU, in FD versions /06, /08, /10 and /14, and for the WAW28420AU/23 front loader.
Liquid detergent running straight through the Bosch drawer?
Liquid detergent behaves differently from powder. Without the insert, a dose poured into the main wash compartment can trickle straight into the drum before the wash starts. The insert forms a small reservoir so the liquid stays put until the inlet water carries it through at the right point in the cycle. Inserts often go missing when the drawer is cleaned, crack if dropped or break at the tabs that hold them in place. Signs include liquid dribbling into the drum as you pour it, or an insert that no longer clips in.

Fitting the insert
Pull the detergent drawer out to its stop and find the guide in the main wash compartment where the insert sits. Slide or clip the insert into place so it is firm and level. Check your manual for how it should be set when you go back to powder, as powder needs a free flow through the compartment. Push the drawer fully home before starting a wash.
Questions about this part
Is 605740 the same as 00605740?
Yes. Bosch part numbers are often written with two leading zeros, so 00605740 and 605740 refer to the same liquid detergent insert. Either number on your manual or parts list leads to this part.
