Product details
Number 603044 is an OEM fan motor assembly, an aftermarket part made to the original specification, for Omega fan forced ovens. It is listed for the OF914X and OF916X, the OF916FX, and also the EDF90S and BAF90EG. The motor drives the fan at the back of the oven cavity that moves heat around the food, so when it stops, the whole oven struggles to cook evenly.
Omega oven fan not spinning or making noise
In a fan forced oven, the fan pushes hot air from the element around the cavity so food cooks evenly on every shelf. The motor sits behind the back panel and turns the fan blade. As the bearings wear, the motor can squeal, grind or rattle, run slowly or seize. When it stops altogether, the oven may still heat, but food cooks unevenly, takes much longer or burns on one side. A motor that hums without turning, or turns only after a nudge, is close to failing.

Replacing the fan motor
Ovens are hard-wired, so isolate power at the circuit breaker and have a licensed electrician fit the motor. Remove the inner back panel and the fan blade first, noting any washers and the blade nut, which may be a left hand thread. From the rear, unplug and unbolt the old motor, fit the new one and refit the blade. Check the fan runs quietly before refitting all panels.
Questions about this part
How do I know the motor is at fault and not the element?
If the oven heats but the fan does not turn, or makes grinding noises, the motor is the likely problem. If the fan spins but the oven stays cold, the fan element or thermostat is more likely to be at fault.
