The wash plate in the bottom of an LG top loader does the hard work of turning clothes over. 5845EA1003B is the genuine pulsator assembly for 12 LG models, among them the WTG8532WH and WTG9032WF, the WTG9530S, the WT-H800 and WT-H950, and the T1532AFPS5. Please note the centre cap is not included. LG supplies that separately as part 5006EA3009B.
Signs the pulsator in your LG washer is worn or broken
As the pulsator turns back and forth, its fins drag the load around the bowl so water and detergent can work through the fabric. A cracked plate, broken fins or a worn centre spline all reduce that movement. You might hear the motor running while the plate barely moves, find clothes coming out tangled or still dirty, or notice small items and fabric getting snagged on rough edges. A plate that rocks or knocks during agitation can also point to a stripped spline or a loose bolt.

Replacing the pulsator
Unplug the machine and empty the bowl. Prise off the centre cap and undo the bolt underneath, then lift the old pulsator straight up, rocking it gently if it is stubborn. Clean the shaft spline and any lint trapped under the plate. Seat the new pulsator so the splines engage fully, refit the bolt firmly and finish with a new cap.
