Fitting the bottom element

Turn the oven off at the switchboard, and leave the work to a licensed electrician if the appliance is hard-wired. Depending on the model, the element is reached from inside the cavity under the floor panel or from the rear of the oven. Take a photo of the wiring before disconnecting, and check the new element sits flat and clear of the oven floor. Run the bake function to test that it heats.
